Lockdown comforts

Now that some of us are in lockdown, especially if you are in Australia or even elsewhere in the world where restrictions are in place as result of the Covid-19 pandemic, it is more important than ever to practice self-care.

Whether it's meditation, finding some quiet time at the end of the day, having a cup of warm herbal tea or simply getting comfy at home and letting go of worrying thoughts and feelings. Whatever works for you!

It can be harder to practice in reality especially if you are juggling work and other commitments, but nevertheless is key in reducing stress and anxiety.

Here are some suggestions for taking a little break for yourself:

  • meditation with crystals and Palo Santo. Cleanse your space and your crystals with palo santo.

  • go for a walk if it's a nice day

  • a cup of relaxing herbal tea

  • soothing, relaxing music

  • turning off wifi, and reducing background nice for some peace and quiet

  • comfy pair of fluffy sleepers (yep...sometimes that does the trick ;)

  • taking a bath with lavender bubble bath

  • using a diffuser with your favourite essential oil

  • spraying lavender mist on your pillow to promote calmness and restful sleep

These ideas may seem obvious, it's easy to forget to take the time out in the daily grind so remember, to look after yourself in any way you can. Even taking 5 minutes just for you makes a difference.
